Berlin Germany Tourist Information and Travel Guide
Berlin Germany runs an efficient public transportation network. In addition to a fleet of city buses, it is comprised of the following:
1. Berlin U-Bahn System (metro / underground)
2. Berlin S-Bahn System (fast train / commuter rail)
Regardless of the mode of travel that is used, the same ticket is valid.
Many people also integrate bicycles into their daily commute.
If you are planning to stay in Berlin for a few days, consider purchasing a 7 day transit pass. Single day passes are also available. Two-zone passes are required to travel between the Berlin city centre and either Tegel or Schoenfelt Airport.
The transit system in Berlin is divided into three zones (A, B and C). Zone A includes the city centre. Transit passes can be purchased for one or more zones.
Please visit the BVG website for current information about routes, schedules, fares and day passes.
