The DDR government tried hard to convince the population that the communist
economic and social model was superior to the capitalist model. The Berlin
TV Tower was intended to demonstrate the technological superiority of the
communist world.
From the top of the Berlin TV tower, visitors can still enjoy a spectacular
360 degree view of Berlin.
