Berlin runs an efficient public transportation system consisting of city
buses, a metro (U-Bahn) and a commuter rail sytem (S-Bahn). If you are
planning to stay in Berlin for a few days, consider purchasing a 7 day
transit pass. Single day passes are also available. Two-zone
passes are required to travel between the Berlin city centre and either
Tegel or Schonefelt Airport.
The transit system is divided into three zones. Passes can be
